News
Its official! Lord’s Acre - A community Harvest Festival is moving to the first Saturday of October. In an attempt to allow more time between the Firemen’s fish fry and to try for cooler weather, the Lord’s Acre committee asked the Admin. Council to move the date from the third Saturday in September to the first Saturday in October. This motion was ratified by a majority vote in the 2/21/11 meeting of the Admin. Council.
The two week extension will allow a month between the Firemen’s fish fry and Lords Acre. As far as the cooler weather goes, we can only hope. Other changes that the Lord’s Acre committee is thinking about are opening the festival at 10:00 AM; this will allow an extra hour for the setup crews in the morning. We are also thinking of serving the meal for an extra hour (11:00AM to 1:00PM). This will push the live action start to around 1:30 or 2:00 PM.
