Meet Our Pastor and Staff

Reverend Scott Goodfellow
	I grew up in the north east and moved to Texas while in high school in 1979. I met my beautiful wife Christy on a blind date in 2005. Christy has owned and managed a ladies boutique in Salado since graduating from Texas Tech in 1993. We are very proud of our two wonderful sons. Nick is 19 and attends Richland College in Dallas and Luke 11 and attends Salado Intermediate School. Both boys enjoy a good game of football and a good juicy steak dinner. God blessed Christy and I through the joining of our families four years ago. I received my BBA from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in 1987 when I entered the working world. I spent the majority of my professional career in the homebuilding industry. In addition to owning my own home building company I served as VP of Operations for several medium sized homebuilders in the Dallas and Temple areas. I answered my call to ministry in February of 2009 and haven’t looked back. I have had the pleasure of serving at Nolanville 1st United Methodist Church since June of 2009. While serving in Nolanville we experiences a 65% increase in average worship attendance among other successes. I am very excited to begin serving Brock United Methodist Church and sharing in similar successes together. I am currently attending Perkins School of Theology seeking my Master of Divinity degree. Over the past 2 ½ years of intensive study I have gained an incredible breadth of knowledge about God and the church which has proven to benefit the church in very tangible ways. After completing my coursework in May of this year I will be serving a one year internship prior to graduating in May of 2013.
